Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

These terms explain how my travel advisory services work, what you can expect from me, and what I ask of you in return. By submitting a trip planning request or engaging my services, you're agreeing to the terms below.

1. Nature of the Service

Travel Out of Office is an independent travel advisory service, operating as an affiliate of Global on Demand Travel. I am a travel advisor — not a hotel, airline, cruise line, or tour operator. My role is to research, plan, and book travel on your behalf using third-party suppliers.

This distinction matters: while I select suppliers carefully and advocate for you throughout the process, I do not own or operate any travel products and cannot be held responsible for the actions, failures, or quality of third-party suppliers once a booking is confirmed.

2. Planning Fees

My fee structure is as follows:

  • Disney vacations — complimentary. My compensation comes from Disney directly via commission.
  • Custom itineraries (up to one week) — $300 planning fee
  • Custom itineraries (longer than one week) — $500 planning fee

Outside of the planning fee, my commission is paid directly by hotels, cruise lines, and tour operators — at no additional cost to you. Fees are due before detailed itinerary work begins and are non-refundable once work has commenced.

3. Supplier Terms & Conditions

Every booking made on your behalf is subject to the terms and conditions of the individual supplier — including their cancellation policies, check-in requirements, age restrictions, and codes of conduct. By proceeding with a booking, you agree to those supplier terms.

I will make you aware of relevant supplier policies during the planning process, but it is your responsibility to read and understand them before confirming. If you have questions about a supplier's terms, ask me and I'll walk you through them.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

Planning fees are non-refundable once work on your itinerary has begun, regardless of whether the trip ultimately takes place.

Supplier refunds — including hotel deposits, cruise fares, and tour fees — are governed entirely by each supplier's own cancellation policy. Some bookings are fully refundable within a window; others are non-refundable from the moment of booking. I will clearly communicate these terms before you confirm.

In the event of a cancellation, I will do everything in my power to advocate for the best possible outcome — but I cannot guarantee refunds from third-party suppliers.

5. Travel Insurance

I strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance for every trip — including coverage for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and lost luggage. Travel insurance can be arranged through me or independently.

The decision to purchase travel insurance rests solely with you. Travel Out of Office is not liable for any losses, costs, or expenses that travel insurance would have covered had it been in place.

6. Accuracy of Information

All information I provide — pricing, availability, itinerary details, visa requirements, and destination conditions — is sourced in good faith from suppliers and publicly available resources at the time of planning. Travel is dynamic: prices change, flights are rescheduled, and entry requirements are updated by governments without notice.

I will communicate any significant changes I become aware of as promptly as possible, but I cannot guarantee the ongoing accuracy of information provided during the planning process. Final confirmation of entry requirements, health recommendations, and travel advisories remains your responsibility.

7. Client Responsibilities

To ensure your trip goes smoothly, you are responsible for:

  • Holding a valid passport with sufficient validity for your destination (typically six months beyond your return date)
  • Obtaining any required visas or travel authorisations before departure
  • Meeting any vaccination or health requirements for your destination
  • Complying with the entry requirements and local laws of every country you visit
  • Providing accurate information during the booking process — incorrect names, dates, or passport details can result in fees or denied boarding

Travel Out of Office is not liable for any costs, losses, or disruptions arising from failure to meet these responsibilities.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Travel Out of Office's liability in connection with any trip is limited to the planning fees paid directly to me. I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses — including the cost of unused bookings, missed connections, or disrupted travel — arising from supplier failures, force majeure events, or circumstances beyond my control.

This limitation does not affect any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from the use of this website or my services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of California.

10. Contact
